Holistic... in the New Testament the Greek word for peace (eirene… pronounced i-ray-nay) includes the idea of wholeness. Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you, not as the world gives do I give to you” John 14:27
Biblical... The Scriptures tell us that God has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of Him who called us by his own glory and goodness. See II Peter 1:3
Counseling… The word “counsel” in the New Testament comes from a combination of Greek words… para which means “beside” and clatos which means “to call”. So we get the meaning “to call to one’s side” or “to come along side”. It is translated into English with these words… advocate, helper, comforter, counselor, encourager. The goal of Biblical counseling is to come along side of a person to encourage and walk with them through the issues with which they are struggling.
